Harrogate Ladies’ College have just opened a brand new Wellness Centre for students, staff and parents. The centre will be ‘the hub for a wide range of activities designed to support and encourage mental wellbeing.’
As well as a fully-staffed Medical Centre, the new facility will also offer activities such as mindfulness training; yoga; massage and reflexology; stress prevention and management; as well as nutritional advice.
The wellness programme will be led by the Director of Wellness, Mr Richard Farnan. Expect a wide range of additional activities in the months to come, from baby yoga to meditation.
Here, I write about mental health and wellbeing, with a focus on how communities can support people who are struggling. One reason I blog is to raise awareness of mental health issues, along with support services that are available.
